Qualifications & Expertise
As a recognized researcher and innovator, Mr. Dayaratne has published eight peer-reviewed papers and numerous articles on sustainability and development. His pioneering research on carbon labeling was endorsed by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and contributed to its global 10-year framework. He also led the development of the business model for Sri Lanka’s first multi-modal transport hub. In 2017, he received the President’s Award for Scientific Publication for his groundbreaking work on a carbon footprint reduction model tailored for the SME sector.
